" God gave me His ability as an exchange for my disability.
It's not me, but He is. I can not, but He can. I did not do it, but He did it. I do not want to, but He wants ... because I am in Him and He is in me "
- DICK WOODWARD
The Mini Bible College (MBC) is a complete devotional survey of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, that provides practical discipleship for oral learners who are new to faith in Christ. The foundation of ICM’s Church-growth model, MBC strengthens and nurtures believers in their heart language and results in congregations discipled and church planted. Furthermore, MBC teaches believers how to study the bible in their own language and assist in the spiritual growth of the Church.
It is carefully developed and maintained in such a way so as to ensure that the material is accessible to many different people around the world. This Bible study program offers a devotional approach to the scriptures and is easily understandable, whether or not you have an academic background.
The Mini Bible College (MBC) was developed by Pastor Dick Woodard. Woodward served as Senior Pastor in the Virginia Beach Community Chapel and in Williamsburg Chapel as well. In 1982, when he was diagnosed with a rare degenerative disease in the spinal cord, Woodward began creating MBC.
In the early 1990’s, when he was no longer able to actively pastor, Woodward became Pastor Emeritus of the Williamsburg Community Chapel. However, being a quadriplegic did not stop God’s work through the life of Pastor Woodward. He continued writing (through voice recognition software), counseling, blogging and ministering to people for the next 20 years until God called him home on March 8, 2014.
MBC was first published and televised locally in English, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It was then aired on Trans-World Radio in 1986. Today, MBC has been translated into many more languages and is currently broadcast locally and globally on numerous platforms – radio, internet broadcasts including podcasts and website publishing, digital players, smartphone apps, etc.
